Rapid expansion

A number of acquisitions led to the growth and development of Strawser Construction Inc. These expansions necessitated the formation of a holding company to oversee all subsidiaries. Thus, Barrett Industries Corporation was formed.

Barrett Industries has grown over the past 150+ years into an industry leader with world renowned expertise, delivering innovative products, and diverse, cost-effective construction services.

Today, Barrett Industries employs over 1,500 men and women across more than 80 locations in the eastern United States. Headquartered in Roseland, NJ, Barrett Industries shares the same principles and philosophies across all subsidiary companies.

Roads – our primary focus
Roads currently make up approximately 80% of our activity. This sector includes constructing roads, highways, airports and race tracks, as well as other major industrial activities. On average, we produce 100+ million tons of aggregates, 50 million tons of asphalt mix, and 1.5 million tons of emulsions and binders each year.
